Matt started
racing with the Roadstocks class, in which he finished the end of 1999 season in 2nd place
in the championship. His involvement with the superstocks began at the end of the
superstocks season at Brands Hatch when on a one off ride Matt rode the wheels off Trev
Dutton's 750 Suzuki, and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Luckily a competetive machine was
available in that Steve Spencer's FZ Yamaha was for sale, but only to someone who would
ride it in the class. Steve built Matt a 911 FZ engine for his new mount, and Matt spent
the winter tinkering eager to get out on his new project. Starting the year as very much
an unknown quantity, Matt soon stamped his authority on the procedings with a string of
early wins. And looks to have become a real threat to everyone he races against, including
the rest of the Sound Of Thunder grid that the superstocks race against.

Matt is now looking for some more
help to improve his chances of more success, so if you interested in becoming involved
with a winner email us and your intentions will be passed on.
