Mallory Park August the 1st Rounds 13 and 14

The weather started off murky and very foggy, you couldn't even see the trees at Edwina's!! We were all praying for sun as everyone had turned up in shorts, t-shirts and skirts!!!!!!  Thank heavens........the sun did eventually come out about 10.30 and boy it was boiling.

Practice went okay with just a few tweaks here and there, although Stuart Watling who was up on a lovely 0W01, had engine failure which meant he couldn't race with us. Maybe next time out he will be luckier, we hope so, the more the merrier. We were without Neil, Keiron,Rob and Richard...more bloody gremlins.

Race one

Malc and Jes got off to a blistering start catching the rest of the lads a bit unawares! Although Mark cut his way through by lap three and took the lead from Jes, who was not giving an inch either way! Gary, Ray and Steve had by this time caught up with Malc, Pete was bogged down by the twins but fighting like a man possessed. Mark came home just in front of Jes by a cats whisker to take the win, Malc third, Gary 4th, Ray 5th, Steve 6th and Pete 7th.  Jes got the fastest lap of  58.46@83.13mph

After a quick lunch break in the now very hot sun (mad dogs and Englishmen...etc...) it was back to the more serious stuff of racing.

Race two

Once again Mark was beaten off the lights, this time by Jes, and they were both away at the front before the rest knew  where they were! It was tougher this time round due to grid positions, the rest were severely held back by the blasted slower twins. Gary was heading the next wave of Malc, Steve, Ray and Pete. Lap four saw Mark in the lead putting an Aprillia in between himself and Jes. Mark took the win, Jes 2nd, Gary 3rd, Malc 4th, Steve 5th, Ray 6th and Pete 7th.  Jes again took fastest lap again at 57.89@83.95mph
