OPEN SUPERSTOCK RACING CLUB

 

TYPE APPROVAL

 

 

Motorcycles, with a capacity of 750cc, manufactured before January 1st 1987 will be known as Class C type. Motorcycles of unlimited capacity and with an age cut of date of Dec 89 will be known as Class B type. Motor cycles with an engine capacity of 750cc manufactured between Jan 87 and Dec 89, will be known as Class A.     Using engine and frame from the approved models and era.  Incorporating Production, Super stock, Formula 1, specials and race bred machines.

 

NON- APPROVED

 

Any racing motorcycle that is eligible for any other ‘Era’ based class i.e. Forgotten Era, Early Stock and Classic.

 

 

SPECIFICATION RULES

 

Capacity, Model.

 

 

Class A                 750cc. Only             ie, RC30 , 0W01, FZR750 GSXR J,K ZXR H1, H2           

 

Class B                 751 to unlimited      ie  FZR1000 [pre exup] FZ 911, GSXR 1100 F,G,H,J.K.  

                                                                    GPZ 900, ZX10, CBR1000rr any big bore design

Class C                 750cc to max factory oversize. ie. FZ, GSXR F,G,H, GPX, Hon VF, VFR. 

 

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

 

 

  1. 1.  The frame must be the unit originally supplied by the      manufacturer of the approved model.      
  2. 2.  The swinging arm unit and all rising rate linkage           components maybe changed.
  3. 3.  Rear shock absorber may be changed but existing chassis mounting points must be used.
  4. 4.  Front forks may be changed, but not to upside down forks.
  5. 5.  Wheels may be changed to any type, modern or era.
  6. 6.  Moulded tyres, wets and slicks may be used.
  7. 7.  Brakes can be changed to any type modern or era, up to four pot only.
  8. 8.  Yokes clipons/handlebars, rear sets and exhausts may be changed.
  9. 9.  Patent bodywork can be changed but original styling must be retained.
  10. 10. Engine;- All original crankcases, external covers must be used.
  11. 11. Factory oversize pistons are permitted in 750cc class A and C. Beyond this means automatic entry into the unlimited class.
  12. 12. Any carburettors can be used, modern or era.
  13. 13. Cannibalism will take place at only certain circuits this year!!
  14. 14. Only machines registered with The Open Superstock Club will be permitted to race in any of the Superstock Classes.
  15. 15. OIL CONTAINMENT; All fairings must be dammed in accordance with the A.C.U. rules. See ACU Handbook.
  16. 16. As we do not police the rules we are relying on the honesty of riders with regard to engine capacities.
